The tasks of the Editor-in-Chief are partly written in the Internal Policy for the Production and Administration of Studia Biblica Slovaca. Section B.1.4 states that “Submitted manuscripts undergo an anonymous peer review process by two or in case of necessity even by three peer reviewers. The reviewers’ identity remains strictly anonymous to the author. The reviewers are chosen by the editor-in-chief principally from among the members of the EB as experts in the field of the reviewed manuscript. The editor-in-chief communicates the results of the review reports to the authors. As part of the review process, submitted articles may be checked with duplication-checking software.”
