Abstract: The author of the present article argues that methodologies of both the author of Chronicles and the final editors of Masoretic Psalter are comparable. By such a comparison we can further trace theology which in this case reveals an attitude of Chronicles and the final edition of the Psalter respectively with regard to a restoration of the Davidic kingdom in Israel of the Second Temple Period. Chronicles portray future Israel as an entity constituted upon the Dynastic promise given to David, while Masoretic Psalter as a whole presents Israel constituted as a theocracy, with no place for a Davidic king there.
