Submission of Contributions
The author submits the manuscript electronically in Word and PDF formats to the editorial email address: redakcia@biblica.sk, or directly to the Editor-in-Chief.
Deadlines and Periodicity
The deadline for manuscript submission for the first issue (spring) is 31 March; for the second issue (autumn), it is 30 September.
If an author submits a contribution after the deadline, the editorial board will assess whether it can be accepted for the given issue or included in the subsequent one.
Number of Contributions per Author
An author may submit only one contribution per issue.
An exception may be made in cases where two thematically distinct contributions are submitted—for example, one article on the history of a manuscript and another a textual study.
Journal Scope
If a contribution does not fall within the journal’s scope, it will be returned to the author without peer review.
Peer-Review Process
Each contribution undergoes a two-stage anonymous peer-review process.
The review is carried out by two independent expert reviewers.
The outcome of the review may be:
- acceptance,
- request for revision,
- rejection.
In the event of a disagreement between reviewers, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision.
If revisions are requested, the author must submit a revised version within 14 days.
Proofreading
Language and typographical proofreading is provided by the editorial office.
The revisions mainly concern:
- orthography,
- style,
- bibliography.
The author has the right to object to the proposed corrections but must provide justification within 3 days.
Copyright and Author Copies
Upon acceptance of the contribution, the author agrees that the copyright is transferred to the publisher.
The author receives:
- one complimentary copy of the journal,
- an electronic offprint (PDF version of the article).
The PDF may be published:
- on the author’s personal website,
- on the Academia.edu platform.
Publication in other databases is permitted only with the consent of the editorial office.
