LOGO-StBiSlis a peer-reviewed scholarly periodical for philological, historical, exegetical and theological research of the Sacred Scripture of both the Old and the New Testament. It publishes only original research articles in Slovak, Czech and English.

Sr. Gabriela Ivana Vlková, OP odišla do biblického neba

Redakcia StBiSl so zármutkom prijala správu o odchode do večnosti sr. Gabriely Ivany Vlkovej, OP (2.3.1964 – 2.10.2025). Sestra Gabriela bola uznávanou biblistkou a aj prvou ženou na čele teologickej fakulty v histórii Česka, konkrétne dekankou Cyrilometodskej teologickej fakulty Univerzity Palackého v Olomouci (2006–2014). Redakcia StBiSl vyjadruje úprimnú sústrasť všetkým pozostalým i celej komunite OP. R.I.P, sestra Gabriela!

Prof. Peter Dubovský, SJ – nový prezident IOSOT

Prezident Pápežského biblického inštitútu v Ríme prof. P. Peter Dubovský, SJ bol 15. augusta 2025 menovaný za prezidenta Medzinárodnej organizácie pre štúdium Starého zákona – International Organization for the Study of the Old Testament (IOSOT). Po prvý raz sa výkon tejto funkcie dostáva katolíckej akademickej inštitúcii. Prof. Dubovský je prvý Slovák na tomto poste.

Profesor Dubovský sa stal prezidentom organizácie IOSOT na trojročné obdobie a nahradil predchádzajúceho prezidenta profesora Bernda U. Schippera z Humboldtovej univerzity v Berlíne.

Medzinárodná organizácia pre štúdium Starého zákona (IOSOT) je vedecká organizácia špecialistov na Starý zákon. Založená bola v roku 1950 v holandskom Leidene. Kongresy IOSOT sa konajú každé tri roky. V poradí 25. kongres bol 11. – 15. augusta 2025 v Berlíne, ďalší bude v roku 2028 v Ríme.
