“The Lord Is Very Compassionate and Merciful” (Jas 5:11). On One Aspect of God in the Letter of James

Abstract: The formula “the Lord is compassionate and merciful” in James 5:11 resembles some of the Old Testament set phrases about gracious and merciful God. Against the background of these Old Testament statements, this article attempts to explain the aforesaid God’s attributes, as described in the Epistle of James, in their narrow context.
